I was born in Coeur d’Alene, ID and have lived in North Idaho my entire life. I have been married to my  wife, Amy, for 17 years and we have 6 children (Bianca, 11; Hadley June, 9; Jet, 7; Jax, 4; Ruby, 2 and  Stella, 3 months). I was homeschooled and attended North Idaho College in high school as well as  played sports at Timberlake High School in Spirit Lake. I attended Whitworth College in Spokane as well  as the University of Idaho. I began my career in the insurance industry in 2005 and purchased my  parent’s insurance agency, Redman & Company Insurance, in 2012 which is now located in CDA. I have  been involved in land and real estate development since 2018. We purchased several local pharmacies  in 2021. We have a passion for community involvement with local non-profits as well as Convoy of Hope  with their worldwide ministry. My wife and I love North Idaho and enjoy all the outdoor activities that  the area has to offer! We love hiking and hunting on our property in Hayden, boating on Lake Pend o’Reille, and skiing.

1. Do you have experience as an elected official and if so, what was your position, and how would you describe your voting record?:

Yes, I am currently serving my first term in the Idaho State Legislature, House Seat 3B. I am enjoying the  challenge and privilege of serving my community and state. I have consistently voted for traditional  conservative values and for fiscal responsibility. In my first year in the legislature, I was able to get 6  bills and 1 House Concurrent Resolution signed into law. I have a list of legislation I am currently  working on in preparation for the 2024 session that aim to increase the state’s fiscal stability, help  Idaho’s small businesses thrive and prioritize the safety of our children.

2. Please tell us about your activity as a Republican. Have you previously voted for candidates of other parties? If yes, explain.:

I have been a lifelong registered Republican. I have never voted for a candidate of another party. I was  a Delegate to the Republican State Convention in 2018 and have been an active supporter to local  conservative Republican candidates. My wife and I have shown our support for local candidates over  the last few years by hosting fundraising events and helping in any way we can. We feel that  involvement from individuals and local business owners in local elections is incredibly important and  will shape how our county and state will look for our children and grandchildren.

3. What is the purpose of government?:

The purpose of government, as laid out in the Declaration of Independence, is to protect individual’s  rights. To further expound on that, the purpose would also include ensuring protection from outside  threats and fulfill the fundamental duties of safety, prosperity, and justice and to serve the citizens.

4. Describe why you are running for this particular office. What are your qualifications? What are your goals?:

I am running for this particular office because I feel that I am being called by God to serve in this arena.  We are living in a unique time in history where there are more and more threats to our liberties and  freedoms happening each day. I also feel it is important to have people involved in government that  have experience in owning local businesses, own land locally and are raising their family locally. My  goals are to keep Idaho a conservative state, work for my constituents and serve the people of Idaho.

5. Describe experiences where you are or have been engaged such as non-profit organizations, clubs, churches, boards, commissions, etc., where you have been of service to others.:

My wife and I have been involved in our church, New Life Church, in children’s ministry and other  outreach opportunities. We have a passion for community involvement and support several local non profit organizations as well as the internationally active non-profit, Convoy of Hope. We have chosen to  partner with Convoy of Hope because of their mission of feeding children, empowering women, and  equipping for agriculture in developing nations and disaster relief. We host a “Day of Hope” in Coeur  d’Alene annually with Convoy of Hope and provide school supplies, groceries, clothing, haircuts and  resources at no cost to the community. We are excited to see this event grow with additional local  businesses and churches joining forces to meet the needs of our community. I am currently a board  member of Reach America, a Christian non-profit, that presently provides counseling for individuals  with addiction challenges. I am also a board member of The Sower, a local Christian bookstore in Coeur  d’Alene. I am currently serving on the Executive Committee for the Idaho Independent Agents & Brokers  of America and am a board member for the Surplus Line Association of Idaho. I am the Board Chair of a  citizens committee that was formed last year that is working to plan for public facilities for the future of  Kootenai County. My wife serves as the public member on the Idaho Board of Midwifery.

6. Do you describe yourself as fiscally conservative? Please, elaborate.:

I consider myself to be fiscally conservative and believe a balanced budget is necessary for a sustainable  and independent State that is not vulnerable to Federal overreach.

7. Do you consider yourself as socially conservative? Please elaborate.:

I consider myself to be socially conservative as I am a born-again believer in Jesus Christ and believe the  Bible to be the Word of God and is the guide for morality and life on this Earth.  8. Describe which party platform best aligns with your positions on public policy (Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Constitutional Party) and where do you disagree with that platform.:

The Republican party platform best aligns with my positions on public policy and do not presently  disagree with anything in the Republican platform.

9. Do you have any history of tax liens, criminal record, bankruptcy or conflict of interest that may affect your future decisions or desirability to be voted into office?:

I have no history of tax liens, bankruptcy and do not have any conflicts of interest that may affect my  future decisions or desirability to be voted into office. As a young man, I did learn from the mistake of  driving under the influence of alcohol. It was foolish behavior that I learned from the hard way and  greatly regret.

10.Describe how you will make yourself available to your constituents and vote as their representative with FORTITUDE, adhering to the values and answers you have stated above.:

I plan to have an open line of communication with constituents through phone and email as well as do  monthly newsletters and updates during the session and town halls. I understand that open  communication and transparency with constituents is imperative and that they are relying on me to be  their voice and representation.
