Lincoln Day Dinner 2025 Speech Contest
The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee is sponsoring a speech contest and offering scholarship prizes. Applicants provide a three-minute video to the contest committee, then the three finalists will deliver their speech at the annual Lincoln Day Dinner, Saturday, February 15, 2025.
1st Place: $1,600
2nd Place: $1,350
3rd Place: $1,100
Speech Theme: What is your vision of the future? With President Trump taking office, people are looking forward to a time where America will be great again. Welcome to the Golden Age! America’s future depends on the generation of today –the vision, dreams, thoughts, and priorities of the youth. What do you see or hope for the future of our nation?
Details:
1. Open to 9-12 grade public, private, and home schooled students.
2. Speech length limit is 3 minutes.
3. Applicants complete an online form that includes an uploaded video of their presentation.
4. Finalists must be able to attend the Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, February 15th, where two tickets will be provided.
5. The three finalists will give their speech to the audience who will vote and determine the first, second, and third place winners.
