Resolution to affirm that Jim Jones is not welcome in the Idaho Republican Party.
Whereas, liberal opinion columnist Jim Jones regularly attacks the conservative values of the Idaho Republican Part in his newspaper column; and,
Whereas, Jim Jones acknowledged “that he’s more aligned with Democrats than Republicans” in a March 2021 interview with columnist Chuck Malloy; and,
Whereas, on June 8th 2021, the Associated Press reported that Jim Jones considers himself an independent and only registers as a Republican in order to deceitfully participate in the Republican nomination process; and,
Whereas, Jim Jones has recently partnered with former Democrat Attorney General and Cecil Andrus ally W. Anthony Park to create an organization with the expressed purpose of thwarting Republican legislation; and,
Whereas, Jim Jones hasn't;t won a contested election since 1982; and,
Whereas, Jim Jones has been rejected by Republican primary voters four out of the five times he has had a Republican opponent, and,
Whereas, Idaho Republican Party chairman Ton Luna recently expressed that the Idaho Republican Party is not obligated to welcome every interloper who comes along; therefore,
Be it resolved, the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee request that Chairman Luna send a press release declaring that Jim Jone is not welcome in the Idaho Republican Party; furthermore,
Be it resolved, the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee requests that Jim Jones voluntarily disaffiliate; furthermore,
Be it resolved, the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee demands Jim Jones be removed from the idaho Republican Party Hall of Fame.
