Opposing Coercion in the Work Place
A Resolution Opposing Coercion in the Work Place.
Whereas, it is the primary role of government to protect the rights of the individual; and
Whereas, Coercion is the use of express or implied threats of violence or reprisal, such as discharge from employment, or other intimidation behavior that puts a person in immediate fear of the consequences in order to compel that person to act against his or her will; and
Whereas, a gene therapy or vaccine is designed to permanently and irrevocably alter a person’s physiology; and
Whereas, individuals may have objections to having their bodies permanently altered; and
Whereas, Idaho Code Title 44 Chapter 20 specifies that it is the public policy of the state of Idaho that the right to work shall not be subject to undue restraint or coercion.
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee (KCRCC) respectfully urges state lawmakers to analyze and revise state law as needed to ensure that individuals are not coerced into allowing permanent modifications to their persons by medical procedure or other means; and
Be it further resolved, that the KCRCC Secretary shall immediately forward this resolution to all Idaho state legislators.
Be it further resolve, that the KCRCC Secretary shall immediately forward the attached version of this resolution to the IDGOP for consideration at their next meeting.
